
Howa 1500 rifles from Japan

For the money, probably the best firearm available today. The Howa 1500 rifle is simple in construction yet very strong. It's drilled receiver readily accepts Remington 700 furniture and all barrels are screwcut. The bolt can be disassembled by a simple twist for easy cleaning and trigger removal (not that they need replacing!) is by a single screw. Simplicity, reliability and out of the box, blistering accuracy.
Howa's come as either barreled actions or complete rifles (by complete that means open the case, load it, aim it, fire it and tweak the sights for your individual eyes. We boresight every rifle first for a rough 100 yard zero). If you need to, we can set the scope up for individual comfort based on what position you'll be shooting mostly in.

1500 Varmint Profile

Heavy barrel, best suited to range work where high round counts in short time frames are the order of the day. Barrels come in either 20", 24" or 26" lengths and are all screw cut 5/8"x18 UNF or 5/8"x24 UNEF. There are a small number of Fluted barrel options with a Varmint contour too.

If you can't find the right calibre/colour combo, never fear! they can be done by the distributors as a special for you.

1500 Sporter Profile

Light barrels designed specifically for hunting where multiple rounds in a very short amount of time is generally not the order of the day. Sporter profile barrels are also highly suited to shooters of a smaller stature. Sporter barrels are cut either with a 1/2"x20 UNF or 1/2"x28 UNEF thread. There are a small number of Light Barrelled Sporters witch weigh 4.5lbs and with .570" Muzzle Diameter.

The mini action Varmint has a weight of just 4.56lbs and a muzzle diameter of .730". The new Howa Mini Action is the latest edition to the Howa Range. Based off the proven Howa M1500 action, however with a bolt length of just 6" (Compared to 6.9" on the M1500 Short Action), the new Mini Action will provide quick shooting in a lightweight and reliable package.
